Performance part. This reground cam is a great upgrade for the M20 engine; it makes an improvement you can really feel. Design and results are very-similar to the Schrick 272? (but for a lot less money) ? the higher lift helps midrange power and the extra duration helps the top end. This cam will pull right up to 7000 rpm. Works well with upgrades like chips, free flow air filters, headers etc. Note: With reground cams you will sometimes need oversize eccentrics. This is usually due to a combination of camshaft base circle reduction and/or the height of the valve in the valve seat. See link below for item listing. Fits the following M20-equipped cars: -E30 325i -E34 525 *Note: Does not fit the m20 cylinder head found in 325e ('eta', M20b27 w/#200 head). How to order: -Place the order online. (We do not bill your card [just place a temp. hold on the funds] until we're ready to ship the camshaft back to you). -Send us your acceptable camshaft core along with your contact information and order number. -We will inspect and regrind the camshaft (please allow for a 1.5 week lead time once we?ve received your core) (to see what constitutes as a good core click here). -We will ship your reground camshaft back to you. WARRANTY INFORMATION: With new camshafts we recommend new HD rocker arms and oil containing at least 2000ppm of ZDDP per quart. Without new rockers or proper oil there is no warranty on the camshaft.
